Daffron.net Turns to Socket to Keep Customers Connected with a Local Internet Provider
Columbia, Mo.—Socket, a Missouri-based telephone and Internet service provider, recently announced its acquisition of Daffron.net, a local Internet service provider serving the Pike County area.
“We have enjoyed the past 11 years serving each of our clients, but the time has come to turn the Internet and e-mail access over to someone better equipped to serve our local market,” said Cristy Wheeler, finance manager at Daffron. “We felt it was important to find a Missouri-based company that would continue our focus on local support and community involvement. We are confident Socket will fulfill our customers’ requirements.”
This acquisition will allow Socket to continue to achieve its mission of bringing the highest level of technology available to all of Missouri by expanding its high-speed DSL and accelerated dial-up Internet connections, Web hosting, business voice, and data communication solutions in greater Bowling Green, Mo. Prior to the transition, all Daffron.net customers will receive a personal phone call from a Socket representative to ensure the transition goes smoothly for each Daffron.net customer. Customers will now have the option to upgrade their current dial-up service to one of several choices including Socket’s high-speed DSL or Socket’s accelerated dial-up service. Socket will not only be able to provide these customers faster Internet connectivity, but they can also expect enhanced online security, more communication choices, and top-of-the-line technical support seven days a week.
“Socket is excited to offer Daffron.net’s customers the next level of Internet communications,” said Carson Coffman, co-owner of Socket. “We are looking forward to welcoming Daffron.net customers to the Socket community. Helping our customers communicate is why we’re here, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our newest customers an expanded portfolio of communications solutions and the live, local technical support that makes Socket a standout in the technology industry.”
